Great Louvre Overview

Sonali was a wonderful guide! She was friendly, easy to understand, had an immense amount of knowledge and could put the art into context that was relatable to our group. She navigated a very busy museum and showed us things I hadn't noticed on a previous visit. We would definitely use her again!

Louvre private tour

Our overall experience was great. Our guide was waiting for us where we were told. The tour was quick but efficient. it was a little shorter than I expected - we had thought it was to be 3 hours and it was more like 2 hours 20 minutes - but it covered the highlights. My only negative comment is that I tried to contact the tour company the day before and never received any kind of response from anyone. If there had been a real problem, I’m not sure there would have been any response at all. We were not told the guide’s name in advance so there was no individual to contact either.

Pleasant, knowledgeable guide

We appreciated all the information provided, especially hearing the historical context of many of the paintings. It would have been better if the guide was more familiar with getting around with a wheelchair, but I suppose the need for that is limited. We recommend a guided tour of the Louvre, as it is so vast, and we would use the Tour Guy again.

A Perfect Day

My husband and my two daughters can not stop talking about what a great experience we had with Z! His enthusiasm was contagious and made all of us really appreciate what we were seeing & experiencing. I can imagine us blindly going into the Lourve on our own. I would recommend this tour for anyone. It was a highlight of the trip. I wish we could see every museum with Z!!!

Fabio was fabulous, showing the highlights and doing his best to avoid massive crowds, while explaining the history of the Louvre and indeed of France. And he adjusted as necessary for our two young teenage children.

Ruth was a wonderful guide! We so enjoyed our trip to the Louvre and even having been several times, it was so interesting to learn new things with Ruth touring us.

Exactly what I was hoping for- and more

I had come to the Louvre when I was young and felt overwhelmed and wandered aimlessly, so I wanted my family to have a better experience. Ed was an excellent guide. He was very knowledgeable and patient and distilled our few hours into a coherent and memorable experience. He was able to engage at all of our family’s varied levels of prior knowledge. I highly recommend seeing the Louvre in this way.

Excellent guide and tour

I have a couple of kids that are history buffs and wanted to see the Louvre while we were i. France. Art history isn’t their main love, but they wanted to learn more. We were lucky to be paired with John, our tour guide. he gave us a 3+ hour tour that included the history of the palace, a very thorough history of the art in the building, including major pieces and some very interesting side pieces, and he was able to make everything exciting and interesting for two teenage boys. Kept them engaged by asking questions, providing antidote and stories, and setting a good pace. I would recommend this tour and ask for John as your guide.
