Rome's Catacombs and Appian Way Golf Cart Smal Group Tour

We LOVED this tour!! Would do it again next time in Rome. First , "small group" was us and one other couple with the tour guide! That was a win! The stop right away in the catacombs was fascinating! Then continuing on the Appia Antica our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the history, and able to answer nearly all of our questions. We stopped at some ruins, and walked through them, and could see chariot wheel ruts on the original stones of the road. It was a fabulous experience! Thank you Tour Guy!!

Amazing Tour! Alex was awesome!!

This is a fabulous tour. Alex was extremely knowledgeable and personable! We enjoyed everything he showed us. The tour is great and nice to be a bit off the beaten path outside of Rome’s high touristy sights. We spent 2 hours on the golf cart and then finished with a 1 hour tour of the catacombs that was also very well done and interesting! We went with our family of 5 (kids ages 13-21) and all of us thought it was terrific! So glad we took this tour! Thank you Alex!!

Fascinating tour outside of the city's crowds!

We had an amazing time on our tour! It was quite cold that day and our guide was a real trooper the whole time. We are nnot city people so this was the perfect place to get away from the crowds of Rome while still enjoying and learning about ancient Rome. It was my dream to walk on the original Via Appia and I did!! Our guide gave us so many helpful insights. A real highlight of our trip so far--highly reccomend. Oh, and the catacombs tour was an unexpected delight!

Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, offering insightful stories about early Christianity and the history of the catacombs. This tour is a must-do for anyone looking to experience a quieter, more historical side of Rome!

Great tour, exceptional tour guide

We recently did a small group tour of the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel with Alessia as our guide. She did a fantastic job of narrating, answering all our questions and took the time to remember all ten of our names and where we were from. While it is always packed with tourists, a small group tour is certainly the optimum way to go. After leaving the Sistine Chapel you also have can then go directly in St. Peter’s Basilica,

Sarah was the BEST tour guide we had during out time in Rome. Punctual, clear in her English , history knowledge and a great sense of humour. The tour itself in the ‘golf cart’ was wonderful . Even though there were very many people out walking and biking the Appian Way it was not for us and we saw much more in the cart as we could go further. The catacombs were stunning .

Tour of Catacombs and Asian Way

This tour was so informative and interesting. Our tour guide, Sarah, was so knowledgeable about Roman history. We learned so much. She was friendly and engaging. We found history coming alive before our eyes, I highly recommend this tour,

Romes Catacombs & Appian Way Golf Cart Tour.

We took this tour on 8/30/24. Our tour guide was absolutley amazing! We had 5 other tours in Rome that we did over the course of two weeks. And this one was the best by far. Our guide took his time, explained all the history we wanted to know. Offered local insights we had no idea about and even suggested picture taking spots along the way that he was happy to take for us. At the end of the tour he suggested a spot for dinner off the beaten path that was one of the best meals we had in Rome. We highly recommend this tour!

Wonderful tour!

We loved this tour! It can be a bit tricky getting to the tour start site as it’s not easy to walk to, but it was well worth it. Getting out of the busyness of city center was nice. The catacomb tour was very interesting, though that’s with a separate tour guide from the Vatican. Our guide for the full tour, Fredrick, was awesome. He clearly loves Italy and its history, it seemed like he could talk about any time period or subject. He was so excited to show us everything on the tour. He stopped a couple of times to point out things it seemed he just noticed along the way that were insightful and interesting! He was super friendly and gave us great suggestions for the rest of our trip in different cities. Would highly recommend him. This tour is a bit slower and doesn’t hit the “blockbuster” sights like the coliseum, but we really enjoyed it. I wouldn’t recommend it over those sights, but if you’ve got the time, definitely worth it.

Educational and Relaxing

We thoroughly enjoyed our Apian Way tour with Flavia! She was so sweet and knowledgeable and we had a beautiful and relaxing ride around the grounds leaving with a new appreciation of Rome.
